Fishing Reports – Grand Isle, Venice La

Hey Gang hope you been fishing.

I havent but i have been diving and shooting underwater scenes for Paramount.

For shark scenes i was in charge of shooting the bait fish for Manny to hand feed the sharks along with using for chum as well.

All i can say is the rigs i dove were slamed with grouper snapper cobia and giant amberjacks.

Also hired Kevin Beach,LANCE walker Darryl Couvillion and Leon for two days of offshore shoots and as expected the highly advanced captains made my job much easier.Capt. Kevin landed a monster 60 plus AJ along with four other monsters within thirty minutes time,now thats hardcore.

Along with the airboats that we used everyday and offshore vessels i spent close to thirty thousand on the local guides and they were worth every penny as their professional manner in which they presented themselves gauranteed them future work with my company along with major movie makers.

Being under contract i can not display photos or releasing certain imformation about the movie but it will be out in september.

The shark scenes are unbelievable for example Manny and i were in the water with Mako's,hammerheads,dusky's,spinners at one time,it was crazy as all these sharks were on fire and taking free shot after free shot.For example i lifted my head out the water to speak to LANCE and no sooner than i put my face underwater the mako rubbed his nose on my mask and was eyeball to eyeball with me.

Another subject i would like to address the issue of spearfishing yellowfin is banned for now.I want to let the public aware that spearfishing is the most enviromentally sound way to harvest fish.The art goes back for a couple thousand years and you are limited by your personal ability to spear dive.The diving community is very small compared to the fishing community so we dont have a loud voice,but we are going to address this issue with 100% factual statements.

For Example i know for a fact that not more than twenty tuna for total of all divers during an entire lump season....where is the threat to yellowfin with those numbers.I believe we will win this one after they review the facts.
