| E. Byrne Edwards Great snappper trip out of Venice on Tuesday. Catching a limit of snapper was child’s play for super-captain LANCE Walker. LANCE knows the name, address, and phone number of every snapper within a hundred miles of Venice and they were definately at home when we dropped by for a visit on Tuesday. After an easy snapper limit, we broke out the big jigs and slugged it out with a seemingly endless supply of big amberjack. Thanks once again to my friend John Henchy and his son, Frank Jr. for inviting myself and my son, Sean, on this great trip. p.s. The chicken and sausage jambalaya served in the air coniditioned salon of the Strike Zone was the highlight of the trip, and an unexpected bonus. These guys never cease to amaze me with how far they will go to make a trip completely enjoyable. |
