We have been real busy these last few weeks so have been able to post in a while. The fishing has been excellent. Our overnighters have been producing alot of yellowfin. The night bite was incredible for the past two weeks. We have been averaging at least 10 yellowfin per night. Last week Capt. LANCE and I had the Moss family from Shreveport for an overnight tuna trip. On the way out we found a good line and managed to put two big bulls in the boat and tagged a blue marlin. This was a good warm up for what was in store for them when the sun went down. 12 yellowfin and a few blackfin filled the boxes by midnight. I am still waiting on the pictures and the video from Mr. Moss and will post as soon as I get them. The marlin bite has been incredible this year. I have seen some large fish in addition to the numbers of them. I already had a 700+ lb spool a fifty and a 600+ take 500 yards of an 80 and pop the line. We went 0 for 2 on billfish for the G.I. tarpon rodeo but made up for it with the tuna having a rodeo record 32# blackfin an a boatload of 60 lb. fish that fell short by ounces for third place. I did get lucky the previous week for the ladies tournament and managed to find some big tuna on the last day of the tournament and put a 166# tuna in the boat after a two and a half hour battle on an 80 with my hero Cindy in the chair. We are finally starting to see a few 100# fish showing up.
