| Took an over-nighter with Lance Friday night to Ursa and had no problem filling the coolers. There were YF busting all around the boat all night long. We ended up with 12 YF, 7 BF, and 1 bull dolphin.
The Capt. and mates were the best I have been out with and knew how to fish. The highlight of the night was fighting a YF on lite-tackle from 12:45 am until 3:30 am only to have the gears strip in the reel. We had the fish to within 10-20 ft of the boat when this happened, and before we could get it stopped, the fish took another 200' of line. The fish was estimated @ 150lbs. That is not the end of the Story!! Capt. LANCE jumped in control and tied another line to the line with the fish and then cut the line from the stripped reel. After fighting the fish for 30 more minutes (and 2 deck mates and a Capt!) the fish was back at the boat, this time circling a couple feet under the water. The mate was about to gaff the fish and can you believe the hook came un-tied from the leader after nearly 4-hours. Fish story's ususally grow, but all agreed that this fish was bumping 175lbs.
